Network Architect
Overview
We are looking for an accomplished Network Architect to help take our
high performance worldwide gift card processing network to the next
level. The desired candidate would have an excellent understanding of
how to architect networks to support high transaction volumes, high
availability, QOS, and low latency concepts. Creative thinkers with a
strong desire to design, implement and support would be best suited for
this opportunity.
Job Requirements:
- WLAN experience required with heavy routing and switching Internet
Protocol, OSPF, Spanning Tree and QoS experience required.
- Load-Balancing, Multicast, BGP and private/public MPLS.
- At least 5 years Network architecture and engineering with Juniper
technology.
- A minimum of JNCIA
- JNCIE certification is highly desirable
- F5 certification desirable
- Previous experience with firewall administration and overall internal
network security.
- Strong background in Network Architecture.
- 8 + years experience in networking and network security including
802.11, VLANs, VPNs, enterprise routing and L3-7 switching.
- 5 -7+ years of experience in network design and implementation in large
Enterprise networks.
- Must be able to evaluate network performance and pinpoint performance
bottlenecks.
- Budget reviews for new products and resources.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline
or equivalent experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Must have documentation skills and be proficient with MS Visio.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, document, maintain and deploy global high volume payment
processing network.
- Mentor internal network support staff.
- Conduct periodic best practice audits work with internal teams to
implement recommendations.
- Partner with operations team to make the network manageable and
maintainable.
- Research and evaluate products or technologies which could support
business objectives while maintaining or increasing performance of our
low latency architecture.
