- IES is seeking a Electrical Construction Prefabrication Manager
-
Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule.
- Ensure plan of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded.
- Ensuring that the production is cost effective.
- Develop and execute the yearly manufacturing plan (AOP) to deliver
the business objectives
- (production volume, manufacturing controlled cost, quality, safety).
- Develop and track improvement in reduction of planned project hours
and production downtime.
- Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good
quality.
- Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass
quality meets or exceeds planned goals.
- Conduct Performance appraisal for direct reports & ensure it is
done for the rest of the production areas.
- Ensure continual improvement with overall quality of product.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies, systems and
processes.
- Establish individual accountability using coaching and support and
performance management process.
- Establish PreFab priorities and allocate the resources.
- Must have highly developed organizational skills.
- Should have knowledge understanding of purchase orders.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Supervises the development and integration of individual project
schedules into the total project plan.
- Establishes with Team and Operations Prefab milestones for the total
project and supervises schedules.
- Develops with Team and Operations Prefab schedule, standards and
procedures.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, and Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prefabrication tasks for Prefab Team will include
but not be limited to:
- Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit,
using ruler and hand tools (hydraulic benders, power tools, portabands,
etc.).
- Drills holes for wiring, using power drill, and pulls or pushes
wiring through opening.
- Assists in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects, such as
wiring, conduit, and motors.
- Performs minor repairs, such as replacing fuses light sockets, bulbs,
and switches, using hand tools.
- Pulls wire, often with instruction and/or oversight.
- Mounts and installs assigned work, conduit, boxes, wires, strapping
as directed.
- Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads with knife
or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or
terminal caps.
- Fastens correct electrical parts and components in place with screws
or bolts, using hand tools and power tools.
- Must be capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or
manual or motorized equipment.
- Disassembles defective electrical equipment, such as motors, using
hand tools.
- Maintains tools and equipment and keeps supplies and parts in order.
- Clearly understands and complies with all Company and Job Safety
requirements.
